Considering Installing A Steam Sauna?

Important information about steam saunas

Although a steam sauna has most of the benefits of a dry sauna, there are some important considerations.

A steam sauna is the perfect breeding ground for germs, viruses, and bacteria so regular cleaning is a must. Secondly, a steam sauna usually doesn't get as hot as the dry sauna, so the time required for a session is usually greater.

A steam sauna can be good for those who have asthma, allergies, or other respiratory problems, since the moist air can clear nasal passages and airways. The steam inhalation is also effective on sinusitis, bronchitis, coughing, or any malady which is relieved by moisture in the air.

For more information on a sauna or a steam sauna, consult your physician who can suggest the best choice for you. A dry sauna may be preferred over the steam sauna if you have a medical condition such as acute rheumatoid arthritis, active tuberculosis, acute infection, or those who cannot tolerate hot, humid conditions. People with heart conditions should talk to their doctor before entering any sauna.
